There isn't a next room over. The map for Other M incorporates the fact that the game is a pretty good fusion of 2- and 3-D, and 3rd and 1st person perspectives. THe gameplay style was very unique and effective. ENjoyable, too. But those last few items are a PAIN to get!

So that i can better grasp the situation, an example.
Room X is your location
Room O is surrounding rooms based on how i remember super metroids map being set up
Room Y is the next room over, or adjacent room.
OOOOO
OOOOO
OOOOO
OOYXO
OOOOO
Something like that, in which case it would be head to room Y.
Also ventilation shaft maybe?

Unfortunatley, no. The Other M map is more like the map screens of the Prime games, where the rooms swirl around in all three dimensions. And, even using that map set up, as far as I can tell, room Y doesn't exist.

Sucky. Maybe room y is hidden? Also ventilation system? Maybe anyway. Or the next floor up?

Map system doesn't work that way...it's more 3d Zelda than classic Metroid maps.

(I haven't played any 3D ones...) This. I love Metroid/Super/gba metroid. I tried Prime once...and hunters (since it came with my first DS.) I don't like the 3d metroid. I found this huge shortcut through the game in Super when I was eight...but I forgot how to do it. |
