as much as I love the megaman series, this game has a special place in my heart for one reason and if you know me you'll know what I'm talking about

I've played Metroid and Super Metroid.I remember virtually nothing of either of them, but I remember them both being awesome. yeps but one thing that was always nerve racking is when you had to escape , at those times my hand always shake and my hart races but I get it done I'm not sure where, but I've learned to keep a cool head during things like that, myself. I'd guess it's kind of like how experienced assassins in movies (and presumably Assassin's Creed) learn not to care about the fact that they're killing people. Platforming is just second nature to me, regardless of time limits.

I'm especially fond of the Metroid Prime games - which Zero hates - and Other M. I liked getting inside Samus' head...even if I didn't really like what I found there, as it were.

...how do you get that item that looks like it's behind a wall in the research area? I could never get that one!

Yes. There's no room in that room to speed boost, and super bombs don't do anything.

Nothing to grapple onto. From what I can tell, it's behind a glass wall with no way to break through it...but there seems to be a morph ball passage into - or out of - the area from somewhere I can't locate.

No effective bomb jump available in that game, and the enterance seems to be on the opposite side of the glass wall.

Use the map and drop a super bomb on the other side of the wall? As in the next room over.
